About The Piper's Cross Céilí Band:

The Piper's Cross Céilí Band, named after 'Piper Carney's Cross' situated in Knock, County Mayo, was formed in 2019 by Davóg Frayne. The band comprises of musicians from within the County of Mayo, with the exception of our drummer, who hails from County Fermanagh. Our music reflects the local set-dancing styles of music from around Mayo, especially within the Aghamore and East Mayo areas. The band represents C.C.É Craobh an Choisdeilibhe/Róisín Bean Uí Cheallaigh, the local Comhaltas branch founded by Róisín Bean Uí Cheallaigh and Seamus Duffy. The Piper's Cross Céilí Band were crowned 2023 All-Ireland Senior Céilí Band Champions at the All-Ireland Fleadh in Mullingar, a historical achievement, as it made us the first Mayo band to claim the title since the very first All-Ireland Fleadh in 1951. The members of the winning Piper's Cross Céilí Band are as follows:
