Davóg's family are steeped in local set-dancing and sean-nós dancing traditions and continue to pass down the practices to the next generation. Davóg developed a grá for céilí bands while spending his underage years playing with 'The Admiral Brown Céilí Band' from Mayo, under the tuition of John and Maria McHugh.
